University of York Sexual Violence Liaison Officers (SVLOs)
The University's Sexual Violence Liaison Officers (SVLOs) are specialist staff who provide support to students who have experienced sexual violence at any time in their lives.
The SVLOs can work with you one-to-one to talk you through your options in relation to the support you may like to receive, either from within the University or from external partner organisations, as well as explaining your reporting options.
They will support you through whatever choices are right for you right now and can provide ongoing support if needed.
Support is confidential and you will not be pressured into taking any particular course of action.

Report and Support
You can tell the University what happened using the University’s online reporting platform Report and Support.

Through Report and Support you can choose to:
• Make a named report. If you report with contact details, an appropriate member of staff will make contact within five working days to discuss what you would like to happen next and discuss the support available for you.
• Make an anonymous report. If you report anonymously, they will use this information to better understand the issues impacting our University community, to monitor trends and inform proactive and preventative work, as they do with reports that include contact details.
